Fly Away

I was so close to giving up on this shirt when I first tried it on; since I'm small I felt like the sleeves overpowered me and made me look like I was going to flap away into the sunset. However, I am so glad that I decided to wait and see how I felt once I added my own personality to it. After some of my favorite accessories and a cozy vibe was added to the mix, I loved how the look complimented my personal style.

I am one of the cheapest people you will meet; I used to spend tons of money on clothes when I was younger, but as I grew up and my bills got larger, I lost a lot of interest in frivolous spending and now I only like to buy versatile pieces that I can mix and match with different looks. All of these pieces I'm wearing can create so many different looks on their own, and I love seeing how many different ways I can make one thing work.

My main mission in life right now is comfort. That applies to the clothes that I wear along with all other aspects. If it doesn't feel right, I don't want to force it. I don't post anything that I wouldn't normally throw on because I want you guys to see my authentic style. I almost paired this outfit with a strappy heel, but I did not feel comfy enough and switched them out for these sandals. I still felt feminine and dressed up without having to fake comfort in my photos.

Too Genius

I'm always talking so much shit about moving out of Florida, with absolutely no idea how I'm supposed to handle an actual winter. Here are some photos of me dramatically throwing on several coats for our most recent cold front.

My inner Animal Planet nerd shrieked when I discovered that Coach introduced this Sharky tote. Camo print AND a shark?! Yes here take my money please.

You can always catch me in either a pair of sneakers or a chunky heel. These babies were made for walking around and they go with almost everything in my closet. Perfect for these fake Florida winters.

I came so close to leaving this shirt on the rack at Zara. I'm tiny so oversized shirts can be tricky for me, as much as I love them. Luckily I came to my senses and snatched it while on sale, and I'm so glad I did because it is perfect for layering.

Fun fact: my eyesight is quite shitty. I messed around and wore my last pair of contacts for an eternity, so now I'm stuck wearing glasses until my new order comes in. It's so annoying feeling my glasses on my face all day! To my fellow blind people; do you prefer contacts or glasses?

EXTRA

I don't care how cheesy graphic/font tees get, I'll always be a fan. I mean come on, what better way to rock a plain white tee than to plaster the word "extra" on it?

So I know that with Zara, the pants (specifically jeans) can be hit or miss, especially if you're working with some curves. But I will say that their leggings have not disappointed myself or my hips yet. These are perfect for me because I always want a touch of detail; yes even on a "plain" staple like leggings. The stripe down the side was what won me over this time around. Not to mention that cozy factor (checks off all boxes).

I got these beauties from Nine West years ago, and they are still the best boot investment I've made to date. They're versatile enough for my random sense of style that goes from girly to tomboy depending on my mood. Guys, I cannot have nice things because I am a hot mess, and these babies have withstood years of my crazy ass. Definitely worth every penny.

SIDE NOTE: This day ended with this gorgeous Fenty lip all over my white shirt. I'm still working on the whole makeup thing *shrugs*

Clearly my shirt had me feeling like I needed to pose extra hard.

Sunglasses have become my favorite accessory. I do what I can when I'm in the mood for some bling with rings and necklaces, but for me the most fun and funky shades can completely change the mood of an outfit.

Off Duty

A day off where I actually have the energy to get cute?! I was definitely about it today. I'm in heels 40 hours a week so I will avoid them if I can outside of work (aside from the random days when I'm feeling fierce). I paired this ultra comfy green dress with a fun cross body bag, which gave it a bit more of a cozy summer dress vibe that didn't require too dressy of a shoe.

Btw if you know me you know I love a good bookstore, this little place off of Park Ave. is one of my favorites!
